After the opening rounds of the 2026 GT4 European Series, Nathan Vanspringel is now preparing for one of the most special weekends of his season: Spa-Francorchamps.

Racing in Belgium always carries a different meaning for a Belgian driver. But Spa is not just any circuit. It is one of the most iconic tracks in the world, a place where history, speed and atmosphere come together like nowhere else.

This season, Nathan competes in the GT4 European Series with Academy Motorsport, sharing the Ford Mustang GT4 with American driver Erik Evans. The pair races under the Ford Racing Junior Driver banner, continuing Nathan’s progression within the international GT4 scene. The GT4 European Series officially confirmed the Evans/Vanspringel pairing for Academy Motorsport earlier this season, with both drivers entered aboard the Ford Mustang GT4.

The Spa-Francorchamps round will take place from 25 to 27 June, as part of the prestigious CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa weekend. For the GT4 European Series, this marks Round 3 of the season and one of the most anticipated events on the calendar.

For Nathan, the Belgian round is more than just another race weekend. It is a chance to compete in front of home supporters, on a legendary circuit, and within one of the biggest GT events of the year.

Ahead of Spa, Nathan and Erik have already shown strong fighting spirit this season, including a notable recovery drive at Monza, where the Academy Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 climbed from the back of the field to a much stronger finishing position in Race 1. Academy Motorsport’s Monza report also points toward Spa as the next major step in the team’s European campaign.

Spa is known for rewarding commitment, precision and confidence. From Eau Rouge and Raidillon to Blanchimont and the Bus Stop chicane, every lap demands focus. For a young Belgian driver, racing there in European competition is always a special milestone.

With Academy Motorsport’s experience, Ford’s support and the momentum built over the first part of the season, Nathan Vanspringel now turns his attention to a weekend that promises to be one of the highlights of his 2026 campaign.
