This new chapter also brings a promising driver pairing. Nathan Vanspringel will share the Ford Mustang GT4 with young American driver Erik Evans, a driver he already knows well and who has shown impressive speed, including in British GT competition. Together, the Belgian and American duo will aim to build a strong and consistent campaign across the European calendar.

Nathan approaches the season with clear ambition. His objective is to fight for a top five overall result and to challenge for podium positions as often as possible. With Academy Motorsport’s experience, the performance potential of the Ford Mustang GT4 and the support of the Ford Racing Driver Development programme, the 2026 season represents an exciting opportunity to confirm his progress at European level.

The 2026 GT4 European Series campaign started at Circuit Paul Ricard, where Nathan Vanspringel and Erik Evans launched their season against a competitive field of GT4 teams and drivers. For Nathan, this opening round was the first step in a season focused on performance, consistency and progression.

As a rising Belgian racing driver, Nathan Vanspringel continues to establish himself within the world of GT racing. His move to Academy Motorsport marks an important milestone in his career and confirms his ambition to keep growing on the international stage.
